Machine Quilting

Basting - is a quick and easy way to prepare your quilt for hand quilting. Edges are stabilized and the quilt is basted in an approximate 4-inch grid.
Meandering - is an all over freehand design similar to a large 2-3 inch stippling. It is a soft random design that does not take away from the quilt's original design. This technique adds a wonderful texture as well.
Theme Meandering - a theme meander could be a meander with loops, hearts, stars, leaves, or a combination of these elements.
Edge-to-Edge/Pantograph - is a fast economical way of quilting. You select the continuous line pattern of your choice and it is stitched in multiple interlocking rows on the quilt. This type of quilting is well suited for quilts that will be heavily used or have busy fabrics that would hide intricate quilting. SaItSeams has a large and growing selection of patterns from which to choose.
Custom Quilting - is anything that cannot be considered edge-to-edge quilting. A custom quilting pattern is determined in consultation with the customer and may be composed of a variety of freehand techniques such as stippling, echoing, and stitch in the ditch. Custom quilting frequently includes individual block, sashing, and border treatments. It may also be necessary to turn the quilt in the machine frame. Each quilt is priced individually.
